The Sisters of Mercy will return to Australia in November and December 2026, bringing their unmistakable live show back to stages across the country — including dates in Perth, Sydney, Hobart, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Described by Metal Hammer as “a lean glittering groove machine for the new millennium,” the band continues to stand as one of the defining forces to emerge from the post-punk era, blending gothic rock, psychedelia, industrial rhythm and Andrew Eldritch’s unmistakable baritone into a sound that has influenced generations of artists.

“It howls, it’s grindingly beautiful, and it’s heading your way…” the tour announcement teases — and for long-time fans, the return of The Sisters of Mercy is a rare chance to see a band whose reputation has been built as much on atmosphere and presence as on recordings.

Over four decades, The Sisters of Mercy have released three studio albums that remain highly influential, with tracks such as Lucretia My Reflection, Temple of Love and This Corrosion becoming cornerstone moments of their live performances. These songs continue to anchor setlists that balance deep cuts, fan favourites and newer material, delivered with the band’s signature intensity.

The current touring line-up features Andrew Eldritch alongside Ben Christo, Kai, ‘Ravey’ Dave Creffield, and the ever-present Doktor Avalanche, bringing a refreshed but unmistakably classic incarnation of the band to Australian audiences.
