One of Brisbane’s key Irish community fundraising events is set to return this winter, with The Ireland Funds Australia confirming details for its 2026 Brisbane Supporters Lunch.
The annual luncheon will take place on Friday 17 July 2026 at Hillstone St Lucia, running from 12.30pm to 4.30pm. Guests can expect a three-course meal, entertainment and the now-traditional Irish coffees, in what organisers describe as an afternoon of connection and giving back.
The event has become a fixture on the Brisbane Irish calendar, drawing supporters from business, government and the wider community. Previous lunches have attracted strong attendance — around 180 guests in 2025 — and combined social connection with a clear philanthropic purpose.
Part of a global network founded more than 40 years ago, The Ireland Funds supports projects across Ireland and the Irish diaspora, with a focus on education, community development, arts and culture, and peace and reconciliation. Worldwide, the organisation has raised more than $600 million for over 3,000 projects, giving the Brisbane event a direct link to a much broader international effort.
