The Washington Tattoo, held at Lisner Auditorium in Washington, D.C. recently, showcased a diverse array of international music and dance ensembles.

Among the stand-out performers were Australia’s own OzScot Championship Highland Dancers, who captivated the audience with their dynamic blend of traditional and contemporary Highland dance.

Under the expert direction of Cheryl Roach OAM, the OzScot Highland Dancers brought unmatched energy to the stage.

The Washington Tattoo is a breathtaking spectacle of international music and dance, formed in the tradition of military tattoos around the world. The event featured military bands alongside world-renowned artists and ensembles, including The United States Army “Old Guard” Fife & Drum Corps, The “Commandant’s Own” United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, and The U.S. Navy Ceremonial Drill Team.

The mission of The Washington Tattoo is to reshape today’s conversation around mental health for active duty personnel, veterans, first responders, and families through the power of music wellness.

The inclusion of the OzScot Championship Highland Dancers highlighted the event’s commitment to showcasing global talent and fostering cultural exchange. Their performance not only entertained but also embodied the spirit of international camaraderie that The Washington Tattoo aims to promote.
