After a sold-out event in 2024, Torc Céilí Club are thrilled to be bringing The Rambling House back to the Irish Club, Subiaco, Western Australia.
DATES & DEETS
- 25 MAY
- Irish Club, Subiaco WA
- TICKETS
The club shared: “In Ireland, the Rambling House was a winter tradition in rural areas – neighbours gathering to share tunes, dances, songs, stories and food. We are recreating that spirit here in Perth with a family-friendly event full of dancing, music and culture. We’ll teach a few simple dances for the kids, mix in some faster céilís and sets, and if you’ve got a party piece – a song, poem, or story – we’d love for you to share it!”
Come along for a heartwarming afternoon of live music, singing, storytelling, and dancing — just like the old days.
Here’s what’s to expect:
Traditional Irish music: Enjoy toe-tapping tunes on fiddle, flute, whistle, banjo, accordion, pipes, and bodhrán, performed by talented local musicians.
Singing and dancing: Join in the craic with group singing, céilí dancing, and set dancing.
Storytelling and poetry: Hear captivating tales, folklore, and verses that bring Ireland’s rich traditions to life.
A welcoming atmosphere: Connect with friends old and new in a warm and lively setting.
Do you sing, play, dance, or tell a good tale? The Rambling House is a space for everyone to share their talents. Let the organisers know if you’d like to take part!
Drinks will be available from the bar. Tea, coffee, and sweet treats will be provided for all. BYO snacks.
It’s happening on Sunday, 25 May from 2pm to 5pm at the Irish Club Western Australia, 61 Townshend Road, Subiaco WA 6008.
