Welcome to the May 2025 edition of Anglo&Celtic magazine. You can read or download the magazine free of charge at the link.

It’s all about joie de vivre in this issue, as with every edition! But this time round we are celebrating Brittany, France and St Yves’ Day.

To add to French celebrations this year, comes the great news that not only is Bastille Festival returning to Sydney in 2025, but it is also set to storm Adelaide. The festival is a feast of entertainment, as well as food and wine, so bon appétit Australia!

We are jam-packed with festivals, including Australian Celtic Festival, which is also celebrating Brittany, as well as Cornwall and Wales. And the biannual Kernewek Lowender happening in South Australia this month is the biggest Cornish festival outside of Cornwall.

The phenomenon that is Lord of the Dance is coming to Australia later this year, and we hear that tickets to the show are moving faster than Michael Flatley’s feet! Meanwhile, the worldwide search is on to find the roses who will take part in the 2025 Rose of Tralee contest in Ireland.

A very happy May Day and if you are joining in the Bealtaine celebrations, have fun!

All the best, Mary.
