Bluesfest Byron Bay, Australia’s iconic as well as most highly awarded music festival ever, has announced the artists who will perform at the final Bluesfest in 2025.
Organisers said: “We’re going all out with a lineup that reflects the spirit of what Bluesfest has always been about: world-class music, unforgettable performances, and a community that loves and supports live music.”
Leading this extraordinary lineup, they’re thrilled to welcome back Crowded House. Neil Finn and his bandmates are nothing short of legends in the worldwide music scene, known for timeless hits like Don’t Dream It’s Over and Weather With You. Crowded House has played at Bluesfest before, delivering some of the most memorable performances in its history. Their recent album, Gravity Stairs, debuted on the Australian albums charts at No. 1, and their live shows continue to draw massive crowds. The Kiwi band with strong Irish roots will be a huge draw at the final Bluesfest.
Also taking to the stage will be one of Australia’s biggest stars, Vance Joy, who captivated audiences worldwide since his breakout hit Riptide.
Other acts include Ocean Alley, one of Australia’s biggest bands both at home and around the world.
Tones and I will make her debut on the Bluesfest main stage. Gary Clark Jr, a modern-day bluesman, will also perform.
They also have UK Neo-Blues soul superstar Rag’n’Bone Man, known for his hit Human, which became a global anthem.
From the long-awaited return of Hilltop Hoods to fan-favourite acts like Xavier Rudd, John Butler, The Cat Empire, and Kasey Chambers, the lineup also reflects the best of Australian music, while paying homage to the festival’s rich legacy in blues and roots.
Bluesfest Byron Bay is a cherished cultural institution and economic powerhouse in our region, and is currently on the path of closing their doors forever. But a local MP has taken a step to save Bluesfest by initiating an E-petition for residents of New South Wales calling for a rescue package. There is also a national petition that you can sign here.
