The Irish Celtic Music Festival 2024 is set to take place from September 13th to 15th in Yass, New South Wales. This vibrant event will celebrate Celtic culture with a lineup of music, dance, and cultural activities.

The festival will feature performances by talented musicians and bands from various Celtic traditions. Attendees can enjoy traditional and contemporary Celtic music, as well as spirited dance performances and workshops.

This year, the festival will welcome back Air & Grace. Sometimes slow and sensual sometimes fast and furious, Air & Grace combine the beauty of the harp with the sweet sound of flutes in harmony. Their repertoire is drawn from Celtic-inspired music originating in Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Brittany. Traditional tunes are interpreted with sensitivity and originality. Relax, listen and enjoy.

Other performers will include Amaidi, Apolline, Enda Kenny, Kejafi, Mad Kelpie Playdate, Saoirse, The Bushwackers, The Full Irish, The Mountain Dew Band and The Scotsman.

In addition to music and dance, the festival will host a variety of cultural activities such as  poetry, junior fleadh, dance program, and Irish language conversation and music. Visitors can explore the Celtic Market, offering a range of food and craft stalls with traditional Celtic flavours and artisans’ goods.

Yass, known for its beautiful historic buildings and scenic parks, provides a picturesque setting for this celebration. The town’s heritage and community spirit make it an ideal location for the festival.

The festival is organised by the Yass Valley community and is run by volunteers.
