The British High Commission in Canberra was abuzz with excitement as they anticipated the premiere of Austin, an Australian comedy featuring acclaimed British actors Sally Phillips and Ben Miller.

High Commissioner Vicki Treadell recently had the pleasure of meeting Sally and Ben at a King’s Birthday Party event. The trio posed behind a magnificent cake decorated with the Union Jack.

Austin, which premiered on June 9th on ABC iView and ABC TV, tells the compelling story of a best-selling children’s author who, after being recently cancelled, faces a meltdown when approached by Austin, a neurodivergent young man claiming to be his son.
