Expect gripping scenes when Ralph Fiennes stars in a breath-taking production of Macbeth which is soon to hit Australian cinemas.
Having played to sell-out audiences of more than 100,000 people over 110 performances in London, Liverpool and Edinburgh, Macbeth has now been filmed live at Dock X in London specially for cinemas.
Starring acclaimed actors Ralph Fiennes and Indira Varma, this cinematic production promises to captivate audiences with its raw intensity and modern interpretation. It will transport viewers into a world of ambition, betrayal, and supernatural forces.
Ralph recently said he believes trigger warnings for theatre should be ditched, after London’s The Globe theatre gave a trigger warning for “upsetting” themes in its production of Romeo & Juliet.
Asked by the BBC if he felt like audiences had gone soft, he said: “I think they have yeah, I think we didn’t used to have trigger warnings.
“I mean they are very disturbing scenes in Macbeth and there are terrible murders and things but I think the impact of theatre should be that you’re shocked and you should be disturbed.
“I don’t think you should be prepared for these things.”
From the chilling portrayal of power-hungry characters to the evocative staging, every aspect of this production is crafted to leave audiences on the edge of their seats.
DATES
Macbeth will be shown in cinemas nationwide from 02 MAY.
