Pandemonium Rocks has undergone a seismic shift, with headline acts Deep Purple, Placebo, and Dead Kennedys removed from this month’s tour. The festival, originally slated for a multi-stage extravaganza, has downsized to a single-stage event and relocated two of its venues amid speculation of its cancellation. Fans who have already purchased tickets may be eligible for a $70 voucher or a complimentary ticket to the event for a friend, festival boss Andrew McManus told ABC News.

In addition to the lineup changes, significant alterations have been made to the festival’s logistical arrangements. The Gold Coast event, originally scheduled at Doug Jennings Park, will now take place at the Broadwater Parklands. Similarly, the event at Sandstone Point Hotel near Bribie Island has been moved to Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane’s northern suburbs.

Furthermore, the festival sideshows in Newcastle have been amalgamated into a single event, co-headlined by Blondie and Alice Cooper. This consolidation aims to streamline operations and optimise the festival experience for attendees.

Despite the setbacks, Pandemonium Rocks has finalised its revised lineup, boasting a stellar array of performers including Blondie, Alice Cooper, The Psychedelic Furs, and more.

The festival faces financial challenges exacerbated by escalating costs. Sales figures also fell short of expectations, prompting organisers to reassess the event’s scale and scope.
