Australian Celtic Women bring together an all-female musical ensemble to transport you back to rolling hills and misty moors, with their heavenly voices, tantalising harmonies, dazzling costumes, and whirlwind fiddle playing.
Stunning visual effects and choreography, combined with the richness of Celtic instruments, provides an unforgettable performance full of warmth, memories, and exhilaration, leaving the audience crying out for more.
With each member having years of experience in opera, musical theatre, folk, pop, and Celtic music between them, they bring together all the best elements of musical entertainment into one show.
The group were formed to celebrate the richness of our unique Australian-Celtic heritage, while also showcasing women in Celtic music and providing an opportunity for the audience to experience high-class entertainment.
Combining award winners from various areas of music and performance, from fiddle, to harp, opera and musical theatre, their harmonies have been reviewed as “out of this world”.
This show highlights ‘Songs of the Heart’ from across the Celtic nations, and with Saint Patrick’s Day only a week after the Sandgate concert, you’ll hear songs and tunes from Ireland, along with crowd favourites.
To date, Australian Celtic Women have brought their live show to various Celtic festivals around the country, including Australian Celtic Festival, Scots in the Bush and CelticFest. They have been the support act for Paul Anderson (the King’s Fiddler direct from Scotland) and are currently working on regional and international tour dates, including a trip to China later this year.
With their love of Celtic music and heritage, experience, exuberance and stage craft, they have succeeded in bring together all the best elements of Celtic music in one show.
