
With early-bird tickets sold out in just a week, The Cygnet Folk Festival in Tasmania is not slowing down in its popularity among music enthusiasts.
One of the festival’s headlining acts is Dallahan (pictured), a Scottish band known for their mesmerising fusion of traditional music from Scotland and Ireland, Balkan tunes, and North American melodies. With a unique blend of styles and influences, Dallahan takes audiences on a musical journey that spans the globe, all delivered with breathtaking virtuosity. Having graced stages in more than 20 countries, they are seasoned performers set to captivate the Cygnet crowd.
Irish artist Wallis Bird is also part of the festival lineup. Her music embodies a distinctive and dynamic form of alternative pop, blending effervescent 80s-inspired dreamy melodies with an empowering vitality and deep emotional resonance.

Red Hot Summer 2024 is set to bring back the nostalgia with a historic reunion of two iconic bands – Icehouse and Simple Minds – on the same stage. It’s a thrilling blast from the past as they recreate their 1981 touring line-up.
During that remarkable year, Icehouse supported Simple Minds on their UK tour, and in return, Simple Minds opened for Icehouse during the Australian leg. The camaraderie between the bands was evident, and now they are ready to relive those magical moments together in Australia.
Jim Kerr, front man of Simple Minds, expressed his excitement, saying they had the best time back then, and they can’t wait to do it all over again with their mates, Icehouse. The bond with their Aussie fans is strong, and they are eager to perform in some of the country’s finest outdoor locations.
