Prepare for a musical journey like no other this January as Dire Straits Legacy and Nazareth join forces for a spectacular series of shows along Australia’s east coast.
Dire Straits Legacy (DSL) brings together key original members of Dire Straits who not only contributed to the British band’s unique sound but also played a pivotal role in its recording and touring success, selling more than 120 million albums worldwide.
This extraordinary ensemble comprises Alan Clark, Dire Straits’ first keyboardist and a 2018 Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Grammy Award winner. He is joined by Phil Palmer and Danny Cummings, both of whom recorded the fabulous On Every Street, and Mel Collins, the saxophonist behind Love Over Gold and Twisting By The Pool. All these incredible musicians performed with Dire Straits on multiple global tours.
Completing the DSL lineup is Primiano Di Biase, Europe’s most sought-after keyboardist, George Michael’s bassist Steve Walters, drummer Alex Polifrone, and frontman Marco Caviglia, renowned as the world’s leading authority on Mark Knopfler’s guitar-playing style.
Expect a breathtaking live show that features all the classic Dire Straits hits, including Money for Nothing, Sultans of Swing, Romeo and Juliet, Walk of Life, Brothers in Arms, Tunnel of Love, and many more.
Sharing the stage with Dire Straits Legacy are the legendary Nazareth. Emerging from the pubs and clubs of Scotland in 1970, Nazareth became one of the world’s most successful rock bands. Their hits, spanning five decades, include Broken Down Angel, Bad Bad Boy, Dream On, This Flight Tonight, Hair of the Dog, and the iconic ballad Love Hurts.
Nazareth, comprised of bassist Pete Agnew, guitarist Jimmy Murrison, drummer Lee Agnew, and vocalist Carl Sentance, plan on touring relentlessly in 2024, bringing their rock legacy to audiences around the world.
