One of Britain’s most beloved festive films is returning to the big screen in spectacular style, with a live symphony orchestra performing the soundtrack as audiences relive every laugh, tear and unforgettable Christmas moment.

If your Christmas simply isn’t complete without Love Actually, this year’s festive season has something truly special in store.

Love Actually in Concert will tour Australia this December, transforming Richard Curtis’ much-loved romantic comedy into an immersive cinematic experience, with a full orchestra performing the film’s score live in perfect sync with the movie.

The concert event will visit Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, bringing together the warmth, humour and romance of the 2003 Christmas classic with the power of a live symphony orchestra.

The performances will feature the Perth Symphony Orchestra, Australian Stage & Screen Orchestra, and The Metropolitan Orchestra, under the baton of acclaimed conductors Sarah-Grace Williams and Craig Dalton.

Audiences will enjoy Craig Armstrong’s evocative original score performed live alongside the complete film, while favourite songs including Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You and Love Is All Around add to the festive atmosphere.

Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams said performing the music live gives audiences a completely new appreciation of the film.

Written and directed by Richard Curtis, Love Actually has become one of the defining Christmas films of the past two decades. The intertwining stories of love, family, friendship and second chances feature an outstanding British and Irish ensemble cast including Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Bill Nighy, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightley, Rowan Atkinson and Martin Freeman, alongside Laura Linney and Martine McCutcheon.

Since its release in 2003, the film has become a festive tradition for millions of viewers around the world, with its memorable soundtrack, quotable dialogue and heartfelt celebration of love in all its forms.

The concert also shines a spotlight on the work of award-winning Scottish composer Craig Armstrong OBE, whose distinguished career includes scores for Moulin Rouge!, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Me Before You.
