Born in Limerick, Blindboy is the creator of The Blindboy Podcast, an award-winning storytelling series that blends folklore, fiction, cultural commentary and humour in the Irish seanchaí tradition. He describes the podcast as a “podcast hug”, using conversation to explore topics ranging from psychology and politics to science, art and music in an accessible, reflective way.

His live shows extend that format into theatre, combining storytelling, readings and unscripted digressions, often featuring surprise guests. The performances have sold out internationally from Toronto to London, as well as across Australia and New Zealand.

Blindboy’s work spans writing, music, screen and documentary. He recently won the Grierson Award for Best Presenter for his documentary The Land of Slaves and Scholars, which he also produced and scored.

The podcast has built a global audience of tens of millions of listens, with past live guests including Spike Lee, Hozier, Charlotte Church, Paddy Considine and Graham Norton.
