The Opening Night film of the 2025 Russell Hobbs British Film Festival, presented by Palace, will be The Choral starring Ralph Fiennes, direct from the Toronto International Film Festival! 

Tickets on sale now for the Opening Night Premiere of The Choral. Tickets will go on sale for the full 2025 Russell Hobbs British Film Festival on Friday 10 October.

Ralph Fiennes commands a stellar cast in this sweeping wartime drama where music heals a fractured community as voices rise in harmony against loss, love, and looming conscription. 

Yorkshire, 1916, as World War I ravages the English countryside and strips small towns of their men, the local choral society faces near collapse. In a move borne of desperation, they turn to Dr. Guthrie (Festival favourite Ralph Fiennes), a formal and exacting choir master recently returned from Germany, to rebuild their singing ranks by recruiting adolescents in place of grown men at war.
