Welcome to the July 2025 edition of Anglo&Celtic magazine. You can read or download the magazine free of charge at the link.
July 2025 is the second anniversary edition of Anglo&Celtic magazine. That’s two whole years of stories highlighting the amazing culture of the English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh and Celtic people here in Australia.
The magazine is a labour of love, made entirely by just myself and my daughter Isla.
We have featured thousands of stories over the past two years and spread the word about community events, on social media, our website and in the magazine. We often run ads free of charge to help good causes and low-budget events.
Our website is particularly popular, with hundreds of subscribers. They get an email each time we publish a new story online.
Our social media presence is concentrated on Facebook, where we have a popular Anglo&Celtic Events group where anyone can share their events.
We have always wanted to remain independent. We don’t get grants and have solely relied on advertising to cover costs.
Going forward, because of the challenges we face selling advertising in a difficult economic environment, we have decided to change our format. From now on we will publish stories just on our website, rather than making a magazine as well. You can continue to read the entertainment news on our website, www.angloandceltic.com, and on our social media feeds.
Thank you to our wonderful community for all the positive feedback, encouragement, support and invitations to events!
All the best, editor Mary Allen.
