On Saturday, 29th March, the Wynnum RSL Pipe Band, in collaboration with Pipe Bands Queensland, will present the first pipe band competition in the area in many years. The event will take place at Wynnum-Manly Juniors Rugby League Football Club and promises a full day of music, culture, and community spirit.

The free event will feature thrilling pipe band performances and competitions, market stalls offering unique goods and crafts, delicious food from local vendors, and a licensed bar.

Following the day’s competition, the celebrations will continue into the evening with a lively ceilidh at the Wynnum RSL Club, where a ceilidh band will get everyone dancing. The bistro will be serving meals, and a full cash bar will be available. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or giving it a go for the first time, the ceilidh is a great way to embrace Scottish tradition.
