St Brigid’s Church in Crossley, South West Victoria, is a vital cultural hub for the Irish-Australian community, preserving heritage and hosting numerous events. However, rising insurance premiums, now over $28,000 annually, are threatening its future.

Despite efforts to fundraise and maintain the site, the costs are becoming unsustainable for the volunteer-run organisation. To continue supporting the church and its cultural activities, the Friends of St Brigid’s are holding a fundraising concert, seeking donations, venue hire, and membership support to cover ongoing expenses, including insurance, utilities, and mortgage costs.

The community’s help is crucial to keep this cherished cultural landmark open.

To help, an enjoyable afternoon of relaxing music performed by local artists has been arranged. Pre-show introduction by Martin Sullivan on the grand piano, followed by Mel and Trevor McKenzie,  Triptych, Harpistry, and Demby McKenzie and Friends.
