Johnny Lee Memphis, pictured below, a seasoned Elvis tribute artist, is no stranger to the King’s crown, having won the Ultimate Elvis Tribute contest. However, he’s not alone — Ross Cummings, aka “Scottish Elvis,” pictured above with his ‘hound dog’, may have only recently discovered his inner King, but he’s already a hit on the scene.
Ross grew up in a town called Greenock which is 40 minutes from Glasgow.
Together, these two are bringing a bit of Highland flair to the rock ‘n’ roll festival. It’s not just about the songs — it’s the style, and, of course, the undeniable charm of a Scottish accent.
The iconic Parkes Elvis Festival is a celebration of Elvis Presley’s life and music held annually in Parkes, New South Wales, to coincide with the birthday of The King in January.

Recognised as one of the top three festivals and events in Australia, the gathering attracts tens of thousands of Elvis fans and is said to have a global reach of 599 million. The festival continues to grow, with more than 200 events across five fabulous, fun-filled days. From Wednesday to Sunday, events take place at venues in and around Parkes.
It attracts headline international and national Elvis tribute artists, and more than 24,000 national and international visitors to central west New South Wales.
The theme for the 2025 Festival is Elvis’ 1967 musical comedy Easy Come, Easy Go!
Parkes Elvis Festival is proud to be officially endorsed by the estate of Elvis Presley, Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc.
You can catch the Scottish Elvises rocking at various stages around the festival, and it’s sure to be a blend of cultures like never before.
Let the kilts sway and the hips shake — Scottish Elvis is in the building.
