Sydney’s haunted heart is about to awaken! This October, The Rocks, known for its eerie history, will host Australia’s first Halloween festival: Ghost Festival. From October 31 to November 3, this historic district will transform into a haunted wonderland, blending Sydney’s ghostly past with modern Halloween thrills.

DATES & DEETS

By day, the Two-Faced Market is a lively place to shop, but by night, it turns sinister. Shadows flicker, and dark tales of the past come to life. Theatre group “Deadhouse” will roam the streets, telling chilling stories of the ghosts and murders that haunt The Rocks.

The Silent Zombie Disco on Tallowoladah Lawn will be the place to party. DJs will spin electrifying beats while zombie dancers take over the night under a haunting moonlit sky. A giant five-metre zombie head will host the lineup of DJs at this iconic Sydney location.

Foodies can explore First Fleet Park’s Haunted Woods, a spooky culinary experience. 22 eerie cabins will offer devilishly delicious food and drinks served in blood bags. Visitors can enjoy creepy culinary creations while eerie music and performers set the mood.

On Halloween night, don’t miss the Ghost Festival Parade! Drawing inspiration from the elaborate New Orleans-style parades, this haunting spectacle will fill the streets with creatures, costumes, and eerie pageantry. Only those in costume will be allowed to carry the Ghost flag and walk the 1.5km parade route through The Rocks and Circular Quay.

For a full transformation, Crossing Lane becomes a makeup zone where top artists will turn you into one of The Rocks’ infamous spirits or a creature from New Orleans folklore.

The festival offers free entry and ticketed experiences.
