The Queensland Irish Association (QIA) is gearing up for a lively season with a series of events aimed at bringing its members together.
Kicking things off is the September Members Lunch, scheduled for Wednesday, 18th September, at the Coorparoo RSL from 11.30am to 2.30pm. It’s an opportunity for members and friends to gather, enjoy a meal, and catch up.
Following that, QIA members will meet for September Members Drinks at The Normanby Hotel in Red Hill on Friday, 20th September, from 4pm to 6pm. The event will be held in the upstairs room, providing a relaxed setting for members to socialise over a few drinks.
In October, the association will host another Members Lunch on Wednesday, 16th October at Coorparoo RSL, again from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Then, Members Drinks will return to The Normanby Hotel on Friday, 18th October, with an additional gathering set for Friday, 8th November, both from 4pm to 6pm.
The association’s AGM will be held from 11am on Saturday, November 9th at Coorparoo RSL, followed by lunch.
The QIA’s 2024 calendar wraps up with a final Members Lunch on Wednesday, 20th November, at Coorparoo RSL, and the much-anticipated QIA Christmas Party on Sunday, 8th December, at Wests Rugby Club in Toowong, starting at 12 noon.
These events reflect the QIA’s commitment to fostering community spirit and providing regular opportunities for members to connect and celebrate their shared heritage.
