The National Morris Ale will be held in Brisbane this year, and it is gearing up to be a lively event, with registrations now open for Morris dancers across the country.
The main ale will take place along the Brisbane River, with an extension available for those who would like to travel across Moreton Bay to North Stradbroke Island.
On Friday, 27th September, festivities will kick off with a meet and greet at Brisbane City YHA hostel.
Saturday, 28th, will feature workshops, followed by a lively dance procession along South Bank, with stops at galleries, City Beach, and pubs along the way. The main ale venue will be the Soapbox Beer microbrewery, promising a grunge ale experience.
On Sunday, 29th, participants joining the extension will ferry to beautiful and relaxing Stradbroke Island for a stay at the island YHA hostel. On Tuesday, the extension tour concludes with a ferry back to Brisbane.
