Join the Australian National Maritime Museum in celebrating the rich history of migration as they collect and exhibit the stories of migrants and honour them on the wall of Australia’s National Monument to Migration in Sydney.

Any person born overseas and settled in Australia can paste their journey on the National Monument to Migration, to be revealed on Mother’s Day weekend, 11th May.

A new release of places on the National Monument to Migration have just become available.

The museum collects the stories of migrants to Australia, and the National Monument is their most visible way of recognising the people behind these stories.

Over 32,000 names already appear on the 88 bronze panels that are joined together and run down the promenade of the museum.

You can honour a migrant – a loved one, a member of your family, yourself, or a new arrival – on Australia’s National Monument to Migration. For $500, their name will be etched in bronze onto the monument to Migration in recognition of their journey across the seas to make Australia their new home.

Secure your place for the ceremony by registering at www.sea.museum/support/national-monument or calling (02) 9298 3777.
