British expat forums had been abuzz for weeks with people looking for Robbie tickets. And others asking were they worth the price. Nobody left Mount Cotton in doubt about whether it was worth it.
Robbie is a born entertainer. He didn’t just regale us with his belters (Let Me Entertain You, Rock DJ) and ballads (Feel, Angels), he also won hearts with his heartfelt chats with the crowd. It was rock opera meets Oprah, with a side of hilarious banter.
He choose the perfect set for Australian fans, including Kids, his duet with Kylie. He sang Take That’s Back for Good, a challenging vocal usually sung by Gary Barlow. Robbie nailed it. He sang Don’t Look Back In Anger by Oasis. He nailed it. He sang You’re The Voice by John Farnham. And yep, nailed it.
Robbie is the most human superstar out there and fans love him for it.
