Prepare for a day of Scottish merriment like no other as the Armadale Highland Gathering and Perth Kilt Run descend upon Western Australia.

You still have time to sign up for the Perth Kilt Run, which will be held on Sunday, October 8th.

The charity run is part of the City of Armadale’s Highland Gathering celebrating all things Scottish and Australia’s only fun run done in a kilt.

“The Armadale Highland Gathering and the Perth Kilt Run is a premier event for the City, attracting large crowds from Armadale and across the greater Perth region,” said Armadale Mayor Ruth Butterfield.

“This unique event, held at Minnawarra Park, is for the whole community to get together, have some fun, celebrate some great Scottish traditions, and even raise a few dollars for some great local charities at the same time.”

Fun run participants can choose from the 2.5km Classic which is pram and wheelchair friendly, or the 5km Warrior. Following the run, the Armadale Highland Gathering offers visitors the chance to experience Scottish market stalls, highland dancing, pipe band competitions, meet and greet Scottish dogs, watch the heavy events competition, and taste traditional Scottish delights such as haggis, while watching ceilidh dancing.
