The Scottish Highlands resonated with 488 barking golden retrievers during the Guisachan Gathering.

This event, akin to a golden retriever convention, happens every five years to pay homage to Sir Dudley Marjoribanks, who lived in what was then Guisachan House.

Sir Dudley is credited with first breeding the golden retriever in 1868.

Participants from around the world converged to partake in dog demonstrations, and a haggis hurling contest.

Among the many international travellers on the day were Wayne and Sharon McGrath, who travelled
from New South Wales. The McGraths have bred goldens for 40 years, and have been coming to Guisachan almost since the event’s inception.
