Get ready for snouts in the trough because Foil Arms and Hog, the hilarious Irish comedy trio, is set to release their uproarious 2022 special, Swines, for free on YouTube.
Mark your calendars for the release, as it’s happening on Thursday, August 24th, at 6pm Irish time, which translates to 3am on Friday in Canberra, ACT time. You can watch it straight away or catch it later on but they comedy act are not sure how long it will stay on YouTube for free, saying: “We’ll see how it goes I guess.”
Foil Arms & Hog’s Swines promises an hour of scripted nonsense, unforgettable characters, music, and off-the-cuff improvisation. This live comedy special garnered rave reviews and became the top-selling show at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the world’s largest arts festival.
With more than 100 million YouTube hits, this trio has made a name for themselves with their online sketches. However, it’s their live performances where they truly shine, and they brought Swines to “a shedload” of venues across the UK. All because they do concise, tightly-filmed stories that are both culturally relevant and absurd. But most of all, as Rowan Atkinson testifies, the trio are “very funny”.
Foil Arms and Hog, consisting of Sean Finegan (Foil), Conor McKenna (Arms), and Sean Flanagan (Hog), gave up their studies in architecture, engineering, and genetics at University College Dublin to pursue the noble art of being downright silly yet astute and sometimes delightfully philosophical.
Their comedic prowess extends beyond Ireland, with successful tours of the Australia, the UK, and the US earning them widespread acclaim. Swines follows in the footsteps of their previous hit shows, Oink and Craicling.
