The Scots School Albury Pipe Band has clinched the title of Grade 4B champions at the 2023 World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow. Their bagpipe symphonies echoed through the Scottish streets as they also secured Best Drum Corps and the prestigious Champion of Champions title, which takes into account their remarkable victories at the Scottish Championships and the World Championships.

The Scots School Albury is situated in the picturesque regional city of Albury in New South Wales, on the northern banks of the Murray River, right on the border between Victoria and New South Wales.

The Scots School Albury Pipe Band was established in 1972, emerging from the amalgamation of Albury Grammar School and Woodstock Presbyterian Girls’ School. Rooted in deep traditions, the school is one of the oldest in New South Wales and the oldest regional boarding school in the state.

This remarkable achievement demonstrates the incredible dedication and musical prowess of the band members who have also graced the stage at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

This triumph in 2023 echoes their previous success when The Scots School Albury Pipe Band was crowned World Champion Pipe Band in 2020, further solidifying their reputation as a musical force to be reckoned with.

The school community is elated by this extraordinary accomplishment, which adds yet another shining chapter to their history. Congratulations to the Scots School Albury Pipe Band on their outstanding victory.
