Move over, Batman and Superman! Scotland has its very own superhero, and his name is Irn Bru Man.

Meet Stephen Reilly, a self-proclaimed fizzy drink fanatic who has transformed himself into the iconic Irn Bru Man. His superpower? The ability to guzzle down 100 cans of Scotland’s beloved national drink every month.

Sporting a pair of orange underpants on his head and armed with an arsenal of weapons made from cans and bottles, Reilly patrols the streets of Dundee, ready to bring laughter and smiles to its residents. But don’t expect him to fight crime. Reilly’s mission is solely to make people laugh.

“I love the drink because there is nothing else like it,” Reilly explains. “And there are no other superheroes like me in the world.”

His alter ego has garnered quite the following, with around 140k fans on social media. But despite his popularity, the only freebie he’s ever received is a replacement pair of underpants.

Reilly’s family fully supports his superhero double life, with his son Grayson even aspiring to be his sidekick. However, his daughter Mia has her own ambitions and wants to become Princess Pepsi, urging her dad to create a costume for her.

While Reilly dreams of becoming the official mascot for Irn Bru and wishes for the makers of the drink to take notice of his unique creation, he maintains his sense of humour. “I’m far too powerful and fizzy for the Marvel Universe,” he jokes. “They couldn’t handle me.”
