Welsh rockers Neck Deep have dominated the charts at home and abroad over the past decade, selling countless records and concert tickets. They’ve graced magazine covers worldwide and shared the stage with industry giants. Vocalist Ben Barlow described their latest single Heartbreak Of The Century, released earlier this year, as “a classic sounding Neck Deep song, catchy, angsty, pacey, powerful and a little bit pathetic”.
Heartbreak of the Century was accompanied by a video in which the band took the piss out of the Academy Awards. “We took the idea of ‘the heartbreak of the century’ and imagined if you could actually win an award for that,” Ben Barlow explained. “So there we had it – a shitty Oscars, where we won the heartbreak of the century award. We wanted the video to feel classic/nostalgic, something that was entertaining to watch rather than your usual. It features some of our best (worst) acting to date.”
Their previous single, “STFU,” showcased heavy guitar riffs and driving drum fills, evoking the band’s early days while venturing into new territory, setting the stage for ‘Heartbreak Of The Century.’
Neck Deep’s fourth album, All Distortions Are Intentional, dropped in 2020 via Hopeless Records. It earned the #6 spot on the Billboard Top Album charts, #2 on Alternative, Rock, Independent, and Internet Album charts, and #3 on the Vinyl charts in the United States. The album also debuted in the Top 5 of the UK’s Top Albums chart, highlighting its polished yet raw and catchy sound.
Now, Neck Deep is excited to announce their Australian tour dates in September 2023. This marks their first visit to Australia since 2018, following the release of The Peace And The Panic album.
