Music icon Paul McCartney is thrilled to announce his Got Back Australian Tour, marking his first visit to the country since his award-winning 2017 tour. The tour is set to be an unforgettable experience for fans, including visits to Newcastle and Gold Coast for the very first time.
With a career spanning decades and countless hits, Paul McCartney has left an indelible mark on the music industry. From his early days with The Beatles to his successful solo career, he continues to captivate audiences with his passionate performances and timeless music.
The Got Back Tour kicks off with an intimate arena show in Adelaide, the city where The Beatles made history in 1964 on their first visit to Australia. The tour will then take Paul to Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast, with stadium performances in Newcastle and Gold Coast being particularly momentous as they mark his first-ever concerts in these cities.
Paul McCartney’s live performances are an embodiment of music history, featuring iconic songs like Hey Jude, Live and Let Die, Band on the Run, and Let It Be. His concert experience is a celebration of six decades of musical greatness, including hits from his solo career, Wings, and, of course, The Beatles.
The Got Back tour launched in February 2022, wowing audiences in the US with 16 impressive shows. The tour culminated with a historic set at Glastonbury, hailed as “the best gig ever” by the British Times newspaper.
Featuring his talented longtime band members – Paul “Wix” Wickens on keyboards, Brian Ray on bass/guitar, Rusty Anderson on guitar, and Abe Laboriel Jr on drums – along with state-of-the-art audio and video technology, every seat in the house is guaranteed to have an unforgettable experience.
