Exciting news for Scottish Australian music lovers! Red Hot Summer 2024 is set to bring back the nostalgia with a historic reunion of two iconic bands – Icehouse and Simple Minds – on the same stage. It’s a thrilling blast from the past as they recreate their 1981 touring line-up.

During that remarkable year, Icehouse supported Simple Minds on their UK tour, and in return, Simple Minds opened for Icehouse during the Australian leg. The camaraderie between the bands was evident, and now they are ready to relive those magical moments together in Australia.

Jim Kerr, front man of Simple Minds, expressed his excitement, saying they had the best time back then, and they can’t wait to do it all over again with their mates, Icehouse. The bond with their Aussie fans is strong, and they are eager to perform in some of the country’s finest outdoor locations.

Iva Davies of Icehouse reminisced about their first overseas journey and the special connection they formed with Simple Minds. Having shared the stage before, they are thrilled to co-headline the tour next year and create new memories together.

The Red Hot Summer tour series two for 2024 will also feature Noiseworks, Daryl Braithwaite, and Bachelor Girl.
